The Virgo New Moon sparks a turning point in momentum, a breakthrough in healing, a new expression of service. The New Moon interacts with all three outer planets – transpersonal and collective forces – highlighting the intersection between our everyday thoughts, words and actions and the unfolding drama of world events.

The Sun and Moon harmonize with Uranus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn, forming a powerful grand trine in the earth element. We have an opportunity to reinvent ourselves, to break free from self-limiting and self-destructive habits and take a quantum leap into a higher level of connection with and service to the Earth.

The New Moon’s opposition to Neptune in Pisces invites us to infuse our ordinary life with magic, to open to the divine spirit inherent in matter and to acknowledge and co-create with the invisible beings – the elementals – who work behind the scenes to support nature to grow and thrive.

Multiple retrograde planets these past weeks have turned attention inward and toward the past for reflection and reevaluation. Some areas of life may have felt slow or stuck – or even moving in reverse.

But now Venus has come back online, gaining speed and shining brightly as the Morning Star. Ideally, as she reemerges from her long retrograde, we know more about what makes us happy, what lights us up, and have a renewed sense of confidence and worthiness to create a more beautiful future.

Mercury – the ruler of Virgo and presiding deity of this New Moon – comes out of retrograde on Friday. As Mercury stations (stands still) and starts moving forward, we can receive new perspectives and insights on our essential self, our skills, and our path of service. In the days after the New Moon, clarity returns and momentum builds.

The next New Moon will be a Solar Eclipse, initiating a time of accelerated change and major endings and beginnings. We can use this Virgo lunar cycle to prepare for that period of heightened pressure and intensity, by taking steps to improve our physical and mental health, by organizing, simplifying and streamlining our environment, and by getting clear about our essence and the unique role we came to play in these wild, transformational times.
