Virgo Full Moon - Healing Crisis, Release & Reset in Preparation for Rebirth

The energy is building toward the first Eclipse of the season - are you feeling it?? A Lunar Eclipse is an extra-powerful Full Moon, heightening sensitivity, amplifying emotions, revealing what’s been hidden, and catalyzing significant completions.

In Virgo, this Eclipse can stir up worry, anxiety, over-thinking, insomnia… as well as bring to a head any health issues you may be experiencing. This Eclipse could trigger a turning point in your health, as new insights about underlying causes come to light.

Closely conjoined with the South Node - the karmic past - this Eclipse activates a big RELEASE - a purging of what you’ve outgrown and is no longer serving you. Ripe for purging are shadow-Virgo patterns of control, perfectionism, judgment, criticism and over-efforting.

The North Node in Pisces suggests leaning into acceptance, forgiveness, compassion and trusting the divine flow. (If you haven’t yet watched my conversation with Jaime Goldstein for the Astro-Priestess Summit, we go into A LOT of detail about how to work with the Virgo/Pisces Nodes.)

Virgo rules both work/service and health, and the relationship between the two. This Eclipse asks: As you serve others, are you also serving your own health? Are you ready for a new expression of service, or new work and self-care habits that would better support your well-being?

Saturn opposes this Full Moon, bringing a reality check to what’s not working in your life, and amping up the PRESSURE of this lunation. Saturn in Pisces highlights unconscious patterns and behaviors, how you may be undermining your ability to manifest your dreams.

What have you been avoiding, escaping from, denying or repressing that is now demanding your attention? There may be challenges to face, commitments to make or break, and/or hard conversations that involve saying no or setting a boundary.

Mercury, the ruler of Virgo and presiding deity of this Eclipse, will turn retrograde just after the Full Moon, on March 15th (or 14th, depending on your time zone). Mercury retro, until April 7th, recommends moving slowly and with discernment, resisting the temptation to rush or push - despite the Virgo to-do list and Saturnian pressure!

Mercury is in Aries, bringing attention to old versions and stories of self - who you think you are - that are ready for a re-write and upgrade. Mercury closely conjoins with retrograde Venus, pointing to how your perception of identity relates to the Venusian realms of love, money, worthiness and creativity.

These dual retrogrades stir up the past - including former friends, lovers and partners - revealing what needs to be resolved, completed or healed in order to move forward more successfully.

Mercury will turn retrograde at the exact degree of the Solar Eclipse on March 30th - 9 degrees of Aries. A Solar Eclipse is an extra-potent New Moon, planting seeds for the next six months and even 19 years. Mercury’s activation of the Solar Eclipse point is another indicator that the Virgo Lunar Eclipse is a time for preparation - for releasing what is not aligned with the highest verstion of your future self.

Virgo is the sign of discernment, and this Full Moon can help you clarify – with your gut knowing, your “belly brain” – what you’re ready to shed, what you’re ready to heal, and how to move forward in a way that’s healthy, realistic and aligned with your Essence Self.

On June 19, Chiron - the Shaman, Mentor, Initiator and Wounded Healer - will enter Taurus for the first time in over 40 years. Join us to learn about and intimately experience Chiron in Taurus, and open to the healing potentials of this transit.

Taurus is the first of the Earth signs, reflecting your fundamental connection to the body, the natural world, and physical survival. Chiron in Taurus activates core wounds - and opportunities for healing - related to worthiness, self-love, security, receptivity and abundance. These patterns frequently emerge in our relationships with money, nourishment, possessions and intimacy.

Chiron was last in Taurus from 1976-1984. This year, we’ll get a preview of Chiron in Taurus from June 19 to September 17. Chiron will then reverse back into Aries until April 14, 2027, and then remain in Taurus until 2034.

In this three-part initiatory workshop, Emily will illuminate the astrological meaning and purpose of Chiron’s transit through Taurus, including the areas of life activated by Chiron in Taurus in your personal birth chart. Sarah will guide you through a series of shamanic journeys in which you’ll cultivate your own relationship with Chiron and receive direct guidance as to what Chiron in Taurus is asking of you. You’ll learn how to co-create with this astro-activation for growth and healing.

Those born with Chiron in Taurus (May 28 to October 13, 1976; March 28, 1977 to June 21, 1983, November 29, 1983 to April 11, 1984) will be especially sensitive to this transit, as they navigate their Chiron Return.

Chiron is an initiator of heroes, and therefore over our time together, participants will invite Chiron to ally with them in order to pass through a portal unique to each individual. Each of the three sessions will build upon the prior session.

Session 1: Who is Chiron?

  • Introduction to the astrological and mythological Chiron, and what it means when Chiron is in Taurus, including what was happening the previous time Chiron was in Taurus. 

  • Facilitated shamanic journeys to meet both Chiron and Taurus and learn more intimately about their archetypal energies, as well as identify your unique “Chironic wound.”

  • Writing prompts to reflect upon what you’re experiencing regarding Chiron and Taurus-related themes in your life as this transit begins.

Session 2: What Does Chiron Entering Taurus Mean for You? 

  • Identifying the house in your birth chart activated by Chiron in Taurus.

  • Facilitated shamanic journeys to explore the interaction between Chiron and Taurus, as well as Chiron’s experience entering into the domicile of Venus (who rules Taurus).

  • Writing prompts to explore which specific areas of your life are calling for healing and initiation.

  • Writing prompts to explore the highest outcome or vision for your “healed and whole” state and a new relationship with your wounding.
