The Taurus Full Moon brings a welcome activation of the Earth element - grounding in the here and now, awareness of your body’s needs, a sense of inner stability and security in the midst of chaos.

Scorpionic and Plutonian energies have been living large these past weeks. We’ve been deep-diving into the shadow realms, uncovering the layers of past trauma, navigating emotional triggers, and purging old patterns and programs. In Scorpio-land, everything can feel intense, relentless, complex, multi-layered and mysterious.

Now, the Full Moon in Taurus - the sign opposite Scorpio - invites you back to basics and back to your body. What feels good to you? What gives you pleasure, comfort, stability? What are your bottom-line priorities and values? What is the truth that your body is bringing to light?

And yes… Pluto continues to be a major player. The Full Moon forms a tight square to Pluto in Aquarius, heightening the pressure AND the transformational potential of this lunation.

Survival fears, unhealthy attachments, and issues of unworthiness or not-enoughness could get stirred up. This Plutonian Full Moon suggests that, to create more comfort and stability, and to move toward your more beautiful future, you need to take a risk, release an attachment, shake up the status quo.

Are you living your values, or too afraid of what other people might think? Are you operating from survival fear or from a sense of abundance? Are you honoring your body’s needs and desires, or conforming to social programming? Do you feel worthy of living the life you really want? Where are you being called into radical honesty and authenticity?

Leading up to the Full Moon, Venus, ruler of Taurus and presiding goddess of this lunation, will meet up with the Sun at the first degree of Scorpio. The Venus-Sun conjunction - tonight at 11:44pm EDT - represents a significant turning point in the Venus retrograde cycle (October 3-November 13). This powerful event holds extra significance, as it will be the last “Venus Star Point” in the sign Scorpio in our lifetimes!

Venus in the heart of the Sun illuminates the core wounding, past trauma and subconscious programs that limit your capacity for love and fulfillment. This can be a moment of revelation, and also a burning away of old blocks. The conjunction holds an energy of reset and rebirth, made more potent by its occurrence at the zero degree.

Just a few hours after the Venus-Sun conjunction, Mercury stations retrograde (Saturday, 3:12am EDT). The coinciding of these two planetary events suggests that the Venusian reset requires a change of perspective, the purging of old thought patterns, the telling of a new story.

Mercury retro gets a bad rap - yes, there are likely to be more techno-glitches, travel delays, miscommunications, unexpected changes of plans… But the gift of Mercury retro is to heighten intuition and open you to new ways of seeing. Mercury retro in Scorpio activates the transformational power of your mind, and helps you see through the dark to get to the root of self-sabotaging or self-limiting patterns.

Mercury retrograde plus Venus retrograde equals a major slowdown - also supported by the Taurus Full Moon. There’s power and productivity in moving slowly right now, taking time to integrate at a physical level all the changes, all the past shiznit that’s been stirred up. Take time to care for your body, to listen to the deeper messages coming through your intuition, to honor the deep medicine of rest and relaxation.
