Virgo New Moon - Entering the Eclipse Portal & Tending the Temple of the Mystery

The Sun will enter Virgo tomorrow, initiating an unusual and transformational month ahead. This Virgo season is not messing around! If you haven’t already watched the Astro-Priestesses’ overview of Virgo season, with yours truly as a special guest, you’ll want to check it out. The Priestesses shared profound wisdom and practical astro-navigational guidance for riding the cosmic currents.

Saturday’s New Moon is the first of TWO Virgo New Moons, with the second, on September 21, combining with a Solar Eclipse. This first New Moon marks our entry into Eclipse season - a 6-week period of high-pressure, emotionally-charged, accelerated change.

Look back to 2006, when we had Eclipses at the same degrees, and also had two Virgo New Moons. What was happening in your life then, and how might those themes and events relate to what’s going on now? There may be something you started 19 years ago that’s now ready to come to completion, or morph into a new form. Consider especially the Virgoan realms of work, service, health and healing.

The big-picture theme of 2025 is massive endings and beginnings, and the next six weeks will likely be a key period catalyzing those transitions. Eclipse season typically features “fated” completions and initiations, but also, Saturn will retrograde back into Pisces on September 1.

The window of new beginnings that started with Saturn’s move into Aries on May 24 is now coming to a close. During Saturn’s last hurrah in Pisces, until February 14, you’re challenged to complete unfinished business, to close out whatever doesn’t fit into the new dream that will start coming into form early next year. Saturn in Pisces also calls for addressing the emotional and unconscious issues that could block you from bringing your new dreams into reality.

The Virgo New Moon activates the ongoing, rare alignment between the outer planets. The Sun and Moon square Uranus in Gemini, and form a yod - a “finger of God” or “finger of Fate” - with Saturn-Neptune in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius.

Translation? This is a time for revelations, revolutions and reversals in your everyday life - your routines, work, health and self-care. The New Moon’s square to Uranus could bring in unexpected changes and surprising information, and challenges you to flow with change rather than going into control mode or trying to hold on to what feels familiar.

There could be a lot of stress, worry and anxiety - IF you stay in your head, try to figure out exactly what’s happening, default into judgment, and obsess about the details. Instead, this is a time for leaning into the Pisces North Node - tune into the bigger picture and higher vision, accept WHAT IS, trust your feelings and intuition to guide you, and prioritize rest, relaxation and creative expression.

In the body, Virgo rules the digestive system, and this new lunar cycle calls for giving yourself the space and time to digest all the change and growth that’s happened this year - including the collective changes and new frequencies signified by the outer planets. Be discerning about what you take into your being - not only the food you eat, but what you’re taking in on a mental and emotional level. Virgo season supports cleansing, purifying, organizing, simplifying and streamlining.

Virgo is the Priestess, who tends the Temple of her body and the environment, purifying the physical realm in order to create more space for and connect more deeply with Spirit. This Virgo New Moon invites you to tend the Temple of the Great Mystery, to ground yourself in nourishing routines and rituals, while opening to the expansive possibilities of these new frequencies, remembering that reality is fluid and the future is unknowable.

Together, we’re co-creating the future, through how we tend to each moment in the present. Virgo reminds us that the “little things” - micro-adjustments in daily routines, small acts of kindness - can make a big difference. As we each tend to our own Temples, as we each serve according to our unique assignment, we co-create the more beautiful world.

On June 19, Chiron - the Shaman, Mentor, Initiator and Wounded Healer - will enter Taurus for the first time in over 40 years. Join us to learn about and intimately experience Chiron in Taurus, and open to the healing potentials of this transit.

Taurus is the first of the Earth signs, reflecting your fundamental connection to the body, the natural world, and physical survival. Chiron in Taurus activates core wounds - and opportunities for healing - related to worthiness, self-love, security, receptivity and abundance. These patterns frequently emerge in our relationships with money, nourishment, possessions and intimacy.

Chiron was last in Taurus from 1976-1984. This year, we’ll get a preview of Chiron in Taurus from June 19 to September 17. Chiron will then reverse back into Aries until April 14, 2027, and then remain in Taurus until 2034.

In this three-part initiatory workshop, Emily will illuminate the astrological meaning and purpose of Chiron’s transit through Taurus, including the areas of life activated by Chiron in Taurus in your personal birth chart. Sarah will guide you through a series of shamanic journeys in which you’ll cultivate your own relationship with Chiron and receive direct guidance as to what Chiron in Taurus is asking of you. You’ll learn how to co-create with this astro-activation for growth and healing.

Those born with Chiron in Taurus (May 28 to October 13, 1976; March 28, 1977 to June 21, 1983, November 29, 1983 to April 11, 1984) will be especially sensitive to this transit, as they navigate their Chiron Return.

Chiron is an initiator of heroes, and therefore over our time together, participants will invite Chiron to ally with them in order to pass through a portal unique to each individual. Each of the three sessions will build upon the prior session.

Session 1: Who is Chiron?

  • Introduction to the astrological and mythological Chiron, and what it means when Chiron is in Taurus, including what was happening the previous time Chiron was in Taurus. 

  • Facilitated shamanic journeys to meet both Chiron and Taurus and learn more intimately about their archetypal energies, as well as identify your unique “Chironic wound.”

  • Writing prompts to reflect upon what you’re experiencing regarding Chiron and Taurus-related themes in your life as this transit begins.

Session 2: What Does Chiron Entering Taurus Mean for You? 

  • Identifying the house in your birth chart activated by Chiron in Taurus.

  • Facilitated shamanic journeys to explore the interaction between Chiron and Taurus, as well as Chiron’s experience entering into the domicile of Venus (who rules Taurus).
