Aries New Moon - The Healing Power of Owning Your Life Force & Committing to Your True Self

The Aries New Moon features SEVEN planets in Aries, the fiery first sign of the zodiac. This lunar cycle is GO time, a massive initiation into new realities. With all the planets now moving direct (forward), there’s plenty of support for launching new projects and life directions.
The new cycle might be off to a slow start, as action planet Mars - ruler of Aries and presiding deity of this New Moon - meets up with strategic Saturn. Frustration is possible, but the higher purpose of the slow-down is to make sure your actions are aligned with your true self.
Are you committing to your “hell yes!” and investing your energy in what you really want to create for the long term? Is your life direction an accurate reflection of your “I AM” - who you know yourself to be at the deepest level? Are you willing to own your passion, what really turns you on, even if it doesn’t “make sense” to your ego-mind?
While Saturn in Aries challenges you to step into greater maturity and responsibility when it comes to owning your life force and expressing your authentic self, Neptune in Aries calls for expanding your “I” beyond the “little me” separate self. To know yourself as an infinite being, a unique expression of Source. And from that place of connection with the whole, to trust the impulses arising through you as divine guidance.
Bringing insight to the Aries archetype, and the Aries-Libra polarity, Dennis Klocek writes:
“When I am acting truly autonomously from impulses of my ‘I’-being, I am acting in harmony with the whole. I am related to the whole, to everyone else. If my motives are twisted and based only on my personality, then I violate the principle of relatedness and fall out of harmony with the whole.” (Esoteric Physiology: Consciousness and Disease)
The distortion of the Aries-Libra (self/other) polarity would be to suppress your instincts and authenticity to please others, to create external harmony at the expense of the INNER, true harmony that arises from speaking and living your truth. If you’re feeling a lack of vitality in your life, consider where you might be hiding, repressing or denying your truth.
After the Mars-Saturn conjunction on April 19, it’s full speed ahead. And once Uranus - planet of radical change - moves into fast-moving Gemini on April 25, we can expect the momentum to pick up even more. This New Moon wants to ensure that, as life speeds up, you’re harnessing the energy to live your passion and purpose at the highest, most fulfilling level - vs. getting caught up in a swirl of activity that exhausts and depletes you.
The New Moon conjoins with Chiron, turning attention back to April 8, 2024 - the Aries Solar Eclipse that was precisely conjunct Chiron. Consider your healing journey over the past two years, especially when it comes to your personal power, confidence, sexuality, self-trust and identity. How have you changed and grown, and how are you ready now to move forward from your healed self? What’s the next courageous step on your path of self-healing, and in your role as a healer, mentor, leader and initiator?
Chiron’s connection with the New Moon can stir up sensitivity and vulnerability. You don’t have to be perfect or fully healed to be a bad-ass spiritual warrior, or to pursue your big desires. Strength and courage mean revealing your broken-open heart and choosing vulnerability, instead of hiding your sensitivity behind a facade of toughness. The highest expression of Aries leadership, and Chiron in Aries healing, is to show up fully as YOU, in your authentic humanness, and inspire others to do the same.
