The Libra Full Moon brings to light what you need to shift or release to restore balance and increase your sense of inner peace. While four planets in fiery Aries are pushing you forward into new directions, the Moon in the opposite sign of Libra calls for a pause. Reflect on your life from a neutral, objective and loving perspective, and consider other people’s points of view.
As the shadow expression of Aries - conflict, war, violence - runs rampant in the collective field, this Full Moon asks: How can you embody peace and bring more love into the world?
Relationships are in the spotlight as arenas for revelation and change. What’s working and not working in relationship-land, and where do you just need to let go? Have you been overly focused on yourself, ignoring others’ needs and perspectives? Or have you been putting too much energy and attention toward other people? Libra the Scales seeks the equal exchange, a dynamic balance of give and take.
The Full Moon squares Jupiter in Cancer, amplifying the emotional energy (trigger warning!) and highlighting family relationships as a special focus. Rather than getting angry at and blaming others for feelings they trigger in you, a more useful approach is to see everyone in your life as a mirror, and to work consciously with what they’re reflecting as an aspect of yourself. The higher potential is to reclaim your personal power (Aries) within relationships (Libra).
Further catalyzing the triggeriffic AND transformational potential of this Full Moon… Venus, ruler of Libra, is in Taurus and squaring Pluto. Venus-Pluto can stir up deep emotions, what’s been hidden in the shadows, and reveals what you need to shed - old patterns, beliefs, relationship dynamics… - in order to embody more love, fulfillment, worthiness and abundance.
Although it’s now Aries season and all the planets are moving forward - GO time! - we’re still navigating the transition between the old and the new, and there’s more to release. Mars, ruler of Aries, is in Pisces, the last sign (endings), while Mercury in Pisces is still in its retrograde shadow (revisiting the past).
Momentum increases April 9-10 when Mars enters Aries and Mercury leaves its retro shadow, and then the April 17 Aries New Moon marks a powerful launch point for building your new world. Work with this Full Moon as preparation - let go of what doesn’t belong in your new reality, and embody the energies - love, gratitude, peace, generosity, abundance… - that will anchor in the more beautiful future you want to create.
