Capricorn Full Moon - Reality Check to Realign With Your True Self

The Capricorn Full Moon signals a make-it-or-break-it moment of truth, a reality check on how you’ve been investing your life force and where you are in or out of alignment.

Ruled by Saturn in Aries - the sign of identity, desire and core vitality - this Full Moon asks: Are you committed to who you really are and what you really want? What have you invested in that’s out of alignment with your true self? Where are you limiting your potential based on old, outgrown concepts of who you are and what you’re capable of?

If less-than-optimal results of past actions come to light, it can be tempting to default into shadow Capricorn: judgment, criticism, harshness and depression. Instead, a more productive response would be to lean into the Pisces North Node - acceptance, forgiveness, compassion, unconditional love, and seeing the bigger picture.

The Full Moon is not only ruled by Saturn, it also squares the Saturn-Neptune midpoint, reactivating the conjunction that occurred February 20. That conjunction was a seed-planting for a new 35-year cycle of bringing your dreams into reality.

What has manifested for you over the past four months since that conjunction? Are the results coming to light aligned with your big dreams and divine mission? If not, the Full Moon brings an opportunity for course correction, giving clear feedback as to what’s working or not, what needs to change, and where you might just need to let go.

Coinciding with three significant planetary shifts, this Full Moon marks a massive turning point, and amplifies the already off-the-charts energies of the rare outer-planet alignment that peaks in July.

Leading up to the Full Moon, action planet Mars moves into Gemini (June 28), and will conjoin with Uranus in Gemini on July 3-4. Expect the unexpected! Mars-Uranus catalyzes sudden change, throwing curveballs into your plans and asking you to trust and surrender to the mysterious flow of Life.

This potentially volatile and electrifying combination can bring flashes of brilliance, breakthrough conversations, bold decisions, and dramatic shifts (even reversals) in perspective. Restlessness and mental anxiety are possible, along with the possibility to break free from unproductive thought patterns and take inspired action on innovative ideas.

Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, will turn retrograde just before the Full Moon on June 29, and remains retro until July 23. While Mars-Uranus quickens the pace and catalyzes a quantum leap into the future, Mercury retro represents a slow-down, turning attention to the past and calling for deep reflection.

Mercury retrograde in Cancer highlights home and family as arenas for Mars-Uranus reversals and revelations. There’s an opportunity to break free from mental conditioning inherited from parents and ancestors, and to get a new, healing perspective on the past. Misunderstandings and miscommunications that trigger emotional reactivity and defensiveness are possible - slow down to listen deeply, and speak with sensitivity and an open heart.

But wait, there’s more! Just after the Full Moon, Jupiter - planet of opportunity, expansion and abundance - will move from Cancer to Leo. Jupiter’s entry into Leo, for the first time in 12 years, amplifies the frequency of LOVE and brings a boost of optimism and creative fire.

As the rare outer-planet alignment comes to culmination over the next month, activating epic collective change, Jupiter in Leo reminds you of your creative power as an individual. Jupiter in Leo inspires the courage to shine your light in a bigger way, lead from the heart, and embody in present time your highest vision of the future.

On June 19, Chiron - the Shaman, Mentor, Initiator and Wounded Healer - will enter Taurus for the first time in over 40 years. Join us to learn about and intimately experience Chiron in Taurus, and open to the healing potentials of this transit.

Taurus is the first of the Earth signs, reflecting your fundamental connection to the body, the natural world, and physical survival. Chiron in Taurus activates core wounds - and opportunities for healing - related to worthiness, self-love, security, receptivity and abundance. These patterns frequently emerge in our relationships with money, nourishment, possessions and intimacy.

Chiron was last in Taurus from 1976-1984. This year, we’ll get a preview of Chiron in Taurus from June 19 to September 17. Chiron will then reverse back into Aries until April 14, 2027, and then remain in Taurus until 2034.

In this three-part initiatory workshop, Emily will illuminate the astrological meaning and purpose of Chiron’s transit through Taurus, including the areas of life activated by Chiron in Taurus in your personal birth chart. Sarah will guide you through a series of shamanic journeys in which you’ll cultivate your own relationship with Chiron and receive direct guidance as to what Chiron in Taurus is asking of you. You’ll learn how to co-create with this astro-activation for growth and healing.

Those born with Chiron in Taurus (May 28 to October 13, 1976; March 28, 1977 to June 21, 1983, November 29, 1983 to April 11, 1984) will be especially sensitive to this transit, as they navigate their Chiron Return.

Chiron is an initiator of heroes, and therefore over our time together, participants will invite Chiron to ally with them in order to pass through a portal unique to each individual. Each of the three sessions will build upon the prior session.

Session 1: Who is Chiron?

  • Introduction to the astrological and mythological Chiron, and what it means when Chiron is in Taurus, including what was happening the previous time Chiron was in Taurus. 

  • Facilitated shamanic journeys to meet both Chiron and Taurus and learn more intimately about their archetypal energies, as well as identify your unique “Chironic wound.”

  • Writing prompts to reflect upon what you’re experiencing regarding Chiron and Taurus-related themes in your life as this transit begins.

Session 2: What Does Chiron Entering Taurus Mean for You? 

  • Identifying the house in your birth chart activated by Chiron in Taurus.

  • Facilitated shamanic journeys to explore the interaction between Chiron and Taurus, as well as Chiron’s experience entering into the domicile of Venus (who rules Taurus).
